Copley Masters Through the Seasons

Bayview Gallery is pleased to represent four painters who have achieved Master status in the Copley Society of Art:

Sam Vokey, Sergi Roffo, Jon Allan Marshall and Marieluise Hutchinson.

The Copley Society is the oldest non-profit art association in the United States, with a history dating back to 1879. It was founded by the first graduating class of the School of the Museum of Fine Arts and continues to play an important role in promoting its member artists and the visual arts. The Society is named after the renowned portrait painter John Singleton Copley. Their Boston gallery hosts between 15 and 20 exhibitions each year.

Master designation is restricted to those members who have successfully completed a rigorous review process through juried exhibitions and whose work has been awarded prizes by the Society.

The title, Copley Master, is recognized as a benchmark of artistic achievement.
